Description

I purchased this vehicle here on Ebay back in the spring. It's a very clean example of a Scout, not show quality but much nicer than anything you'll find around. Solid truck, strong 345 V8 and auto tranny shifts smoothly, I was told that the previous owner rebuilt the tranny and engine around 50K miles ago and I see or have no reason to not believe this to be correct. The truck was redone around that same time, interior is very clean, reupholstered leather seats. Paint is driver quality, probably looked better when it was done but now shows some wear with some minor bubbling in a spot I noticed. Has some typical surface rust along the rain gutter. But overall a very solid truck with no rot and only minor surface rusting. I put a new A/C compressor in it and it is rigged up however it is not currently connected, there was an electrical problem that kept it running all the time and I never bothered to fix it, just disconnected it. The speedo is not accurate but I used my phone app DigiHud to calculate a smooth highway speed of 70-75 and pushed it to 80mph and backed off. Out of all my old trucks this one has the most legs.. I have 7 old trucks and am in the process of putting in a new garage and don't want this out during our Western PA winter. It's a great example of a Scout II and a quality vehicle, not like most of the hack jobs or rust buckets you see on Ebay. It starts a little rough, but I've only put about 200 miles on it since I bought it so may need tune up or timing, once running it's very strong, idles well, and has plenty of power. The truck has power door locks, working winch, tires have plenty of tread left, and it's ready to ride and enjoy.
The previous owner was from Arizona and I had the vehicle shipped from the dealer in Colorado back here to Pennsylvania in May(2014) this year. My high bid that won it at the time was $16,200 and I was pleased with the purchase. I just have too many vehicles and no where to put them and don't feel like storing this through the winter. I'm listing it with no reserve and high bidder will win, I will not end this early, bid to win and bid to buy, no zero feedback or wannabe buyers, make sure you got the permission slip if you need one before you bid. You must pick up the vehicle or arrange shipping within 7 days of auction end, I will help on this end for the transport pickup.
