Description

You are looking at a very unique off-road vehicle. When you look over this machine it looks like a factory built unit, but there is only one in the world like it! The "Marauder" was built in Idaho by a well-known bodyman and fabricator in the 1960's, it was then revisioned and restored in the 90's but was never really driven. Once off the main road, the Marauder comes into its own with excellent traction in 4WD on muddy roads, sand or plowing through snow up to the bumper tops. In the lowest gear ratio it will also climb a steep hillside with ease. The generous ground clearance enables the Marauder to easily crawl over logs and small boulders. It also runs and rides good on the pavement. It's a smooth ride up to speeds of about 65 mph. The Marauder's drive train (both front and rear) is from a 1975 International TravelAll. The motor is a 1975 International 345 cubic inch with a four barrel carburetor and a three speed International automatic transmission. I also just had the motor serviced. The steering gear is a stock 1951 Chevrolet truck unit. The power from the rear engine goes to a U-drive system that has been remade from big Ford truck gears and the new case was cast in tenzalog aluminum alloy for its strength and light weight. The massive air cleaner is from an off road Mack truck. It has dual glass-pack exhaust and sounds great! Dual gas tanks with working switch, and a transmission oil cooler. The Marauder has front disc brakes and power steering. The transfer case is a 2-speed high and low International box. The suspension is mostly IH parts with leaf springs on the front and rear and heavy duty shocks throughout. The frame consists of two 1 ¾ inch thick steel tubes down each side then plated in the center, making this a very strong and robust machine. The Marauder weighs in at 4600 pounds, it is 6 foot 9 inches wide, and 13 foot 6 inches long. The wheelbase is 101 inches. Everything works including the radio, all the lights, gauges and e-brake. It also comes with two tool boxes (mounted) and a spare tire. The Marauder has a tilt steering column, and horn. The front split bench seat is made of nice upholstery. There are hitches on both ends of the Marauder. You can pull a trailer, there is even a trailer plug on the back. The tires are 33x12.5 R15 LT and in nice shape. The wheels are white Jackman style wheels, the front wheels have the IH locking hubs for 4WD. This 4x4 off road marauding machine still looks brand new inside and out. Even the undercarriage looks new. It hasn't had 100 miles on it since it was restored in the 90's. This one of a kind vehicle looks a lot better in person than the pictures, if you know what I mean. The Marauder is definitely a Duck Dynasty redneck machine, it doesn't get any better than this. Perfect for a Longhorn game or anything that your heart desires. Fully street legal if you desire.
